Twice Baked Potatoes and Yams and Cheese Recipe – Let’s not quibble over technicalities. The one thing that we are all going to agree on is that this twice baked potato recipe is out of this world. The flavor of the cheese melted all over the yams will bring pleasure to your taste buds.

How To Make Twice Baked Potatoesand Yams and Cheese Recipe: A Chessy Delight For All

INGREDIENTS

  • 3 medium yam (not sweet potatoes)
  • 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack Cheese
  • 2 tablespoons onion (purple if possible)
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried Marjoram
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper

DIRECTIONS

  • Wash yams and pierce with fork (so they won’t explode)
  • Cook in microwave until done
  • Cut yams lengthwise and scoop out the pulp
  • In a medium bowl, combine pulp with remaining ingredients
  • Mix well…I mean really well
  • You have your choice to either do step 7 or step 8
  • Reheat in microwave until cheese melts. You can serve just like that or you can spoon the pulp back into the potato skin halves
  • Spoon the mixture back into the potato skin halves. Place on cookie sheet and heat in a preheated oven at 350 degrees until cheese melts
